All-On-Four / All-On-Six

What Is All-On-Four / All-On-Six?

All-On-Four and All-On-Six treatment is an advanced implant technique applied to fully edentulous patients or those with severe bone loss. In this method, 4 or 6 implants are placed at strategic angles in the jawbone and a fixed prosthesis is mounted on top.

Unlike conventional implant treatment, the posterior implants are placed at a specific angle. This maximizes the use of available bone volume and eliminates the need for additional bone surgery such as sinus lifting in most patients.

One of the greatest advantages of All-On-Four treatment is that a temporary fixed prosthesis can be placed on the same day or within 1 to 2 days following implant placement. Patients can arrive at the clinic without teeth and leave with a full set of teeth.

  • Full-arch rehabilitation is planned in a single session
  • Patients using removable dentures can transition to fixed prostheses
  • After osseointegration, permanent porcelain or zirconia prostheses are fabricated

Who Is This Treatment For?

Who Is a Candidate for All-On-Four Treatment?

All-On-Four treatment is suitable for patients who have lost all their teeth or whose remaining teeth can no longer be saved. It is an ideal solution particularly for individuals who have been using removable dentures for a long time and are dissatisfied with them.

Patients with moderate bone loss may also benefit from this treatment. However, individuals with uncontrolled diabetes, active periodontal disease, or severe systemic conditions must have these issues addressed first.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between All-On-Four and All-On-Six?

All-On-Four uses 4 implants while All-On-Six uses 6. In patients with suitable bone structure, 6 implants provide greater support. The appropriate option is determined after tomography evaluation.

Can I get teeth on the same day?

Yes, in most patients a temporary fixed prosthesis is fitted on the same day as implant placement. The permanent prosthesis is fabricated after osseointegration is complete (3 to 6 months).

How long does All-On-Four treatment take?

The surgical procedure takes approximately 2 to 3 hours. The temporary prosthesis is fitted the same day or the next day. Transition to the permanent prosthesis occurs 3 to 6 months later, depending on the implant-to-bone fusion process.
